    Loved This Book

Christy has returned home to Helena, Montana after her disastrous debate trip to Washington, DC. She had originally thought that kids at her regular school would treat her differently after her trip. They didn't. They still pick on her just as much as they did before her trip, even though Christy feels so much different about herself, and has proven that she is able to make friends. She's had an especially bad day one day, when all of a sudden, she spots Alex after school. He walks down the stairs to her, gives her an amazing kiss in front of all the popular kids, and they drive off into the sunset in his rented convertible. Well, that's how it feels at first. Christy has sworn to give up Alex and choose Rick instead, because she knows that Rick is a better match for her, unfortunately her heart just won't listen. Alex shows her a wonderful time, even showing up at her house so her parents can question him. Christy knows that there's now way the terrorists can still be after her, but she starts seeing strange things, cars that don't belong and disappear quickly, and she still feels as though she's being watched. She and Alex go on a hike, and they are kidnapped. This is just the beginning of the adventure for Christy, taking her places from being kidnapped, to being dead to her family and in the witness protection program. All of this will change Christy, but will it be for the better. I really enjoyed reading this book! Christy seems like a real person, she thinks and acts how I would. I really liked how she was told to kind of lose herself by one agent, but then another one told her that she needed to be true to herself. I liked the idea of not really losing yourself, even though you may have to do things that kind of take you out of yourself. The book was well written, the characters are amazing! I didn't want to put it down until the story was over. I can't wait to read the next book in this series.

    Thrilling!

Again, could not put this book down. Read Watched and Protected both within 4 days!!! I did not sleep much. I couldn't put the book down to sleep. Some parts slow down for a little, but pick back up very quickly! I am recommending this series to everyone I know!

    Such a good book

This series is amazing but in parts of the story I was so upset with Christy's choices she made. I can not wait for the next book but I can not help feeling she is making the wrong moves that could get her killed.

    Ps
I think Rick is the better choice fo her!!!!

In Protected, Christy has returned to her boring life after an intense and dangerous adventure in DC. But the monotony doesn't last for long. When playboy Alex show up out of the blue shattering the boring world Christy has returned to, he brings more than his winning smile. The bad guys are back, and they aren't going away easily.

Protected is full of danger, action, and survival. I really enjoyed the suspense level since Christy was constantly looking over her shoulder and having to avoid attacks from the bad guys as well as the good guys. She's not only forced to learning new skills to survive, but she has to learn to be a whole new person, well, people actually. The struggle of holding on to her identity while having to leave behind everything and everyone she has ever known was well portrayed and I could feel the delimas her conscience was having.

When the bad guys make their move, the DC group comes back together, but it's not the reunion Christy was hoping for. Pick this one up and find out if Christy can not only save her life, but her identity.

This time, there's no coming back. She's forced to leave everything she knows and loves behind and enter Witness Protection. It's the only option if she's going to protect her family and keep herself alive.

Her life becomes unlike anything she could've ever dreamed up or imagined it would be. She's pushed to the extremes and finds that she is capable of so much more than she thought possible. It's a roller coaster ride an adult would have a hard time digesting, let alone a 16 yr. old.

Cindy Hogan wrote an incredible sequel to a great book. With Protected, she hit it so far out of the park, that ball won't be recovered anytime soon! I was so hooked on this book, I actually kept pressing the 'next page' button on my E-reader begging it to give me more story at the end. Christy is practically unrecognizable in this book, which is the point of Witness Protection, right? Just as it happened in Watched, the supporting characters won me over with equal intensity as the story's heroine.

I'm recommending this series to EVERYONE. It's a very clean read infused with action, intensity, romance and intrigue. The profusion of twists and turns, up and downs, left me breathless. I guarantee you will be hooked on this series by the end of Protected, if you weren't already with Watched.

    A major page-turner

Sequel to Watched, Cindy Hogan out does herself. Again.

Fifteen year-old Christy Hadden hates life back home. At her school trip in
Washington, D.C., she had a glimpse at what it felt like to belong--until the murder. Now in Montana, she slips back into the little nobody she feels she is until Alex--the love of her life--finds her. And so does the danger...

Hogan is extremely creative and a goddess of character creation as she whips up many well-rounded profiles as well as personalities for Christy when she is swept into the FBI's Witness Protection Program.

I loved learning with Christy as she fought for reformation to fit the character of a snobby cheerleader way out in Florida--far from the cozy comfort of her home, but I felt as if she submitted emotionally to this a bit easily in regards to her former life. Though Cindy Hogan mentions Christy's mourning after the fact, I would've loved to have felt a bit of Christy's mourning for the sudden loss of her family soon after she was taken into safety.

It feels as if I'm missing something when it comes to a very particular set of black-ops FBI agents who are the parents of an important character. They feel out of place since they let their distaste for Christy sway their attitude toward her. I could only hope that the author has done this quite intentionally for the next book's twist.

This story kept me turning the pages as I became fascinated by the turn of events as well as Christy's transformation into Michele, and later Ari. It's because of authors like Cindy Hogan that I couldn't put the book down!

Read my review on Cindy Hogan's first book in the Watched Series here--you don't want to miss it!

    Amazing teen book!!

I've read Watched, and had to have Protected!! Many new and reoccuring characters. The end sets up for a third book that I cannot wait to get my hands on! These books are very well written and you can count on not putting them down! Very age appropriate. One of the best, if not the best, teen books I have ever read.

Christy’s reality upon returning home after DC is far from what she wishes it would be, until Alex appears outside her school. Trouble always seems to follow Alex as has once again she has been found by the terrorists who killed the Senator’s aid. Back into protective custody – Christy learns to tune her ‘spidey senses’ and learn to defend herself against anything she may come up against.

A great follow up to Watched. I cannot wait for the third installment!
