I had read this book and several others by this author and I enjoyed them. I bought 2 copies of this book for presents this year. It makes you want to visit Provence! I found that I was tabbing pages of places I wanted to see.

Peter Mayle has written quite a few books, Fiction and Non-fiction, about the place we know as Provence. This new book is as close as you'll ever get to knowing all about this magical place. Wonderful writing and fantastic pictures this is a great book to read just like one of his novels. Funny and much, much more than an encyclopedia Mayle makes you feel you are there.
