Children's LiteratureThis is the Spanish text version of the book Just Try It! In this story, a young boy will not eat vegetables. One at a time each member of his family tries to get Tony to at least try a vegetable. And one at a time he does something with each of the vegetables, such as throwing them, playing with them, and building with them. Then his mother cooks them in a stew and Tony eats all the vegetables. This book is part of the "Read- It! Readers En Espanol" series. The readers are divided into levels: purple, red, blue, yellow, green, and orange; this book is at the first level, purple. There is a note to parents at the beginning of the book that explains the levels and how parents can use the stories with their children. At this level the reader encounters basic topics and objects, high frequency words, and simple language patterns. Other "Read-It! Readers" are listed.
