This handbook is designed to assist the practititoner in establishing the appropriate psychiatric diagnosis, which depends to a great extent on obtaining a good clinical history of the patient. Consequently, the ability to interview and obtain an accurate history is one of the most fundamental skills in psychiatry. This title is the first book to do just that by providing a step-by-step guide for anyone conducting a psychiatric interview. This title will also serve as the first and anchor book in a forthcoming series -- The Practical Guide Series in Psychiatry.

The book contains black-and-white illustrations.
