Meet the Author

Susan Daffron is the president of Logical Expressions, Inc., a book and software publishing company in Sandpoint, Idaho. She has authored 11 books (nine of which were self-published). Susan has a unique perspective on the ever-changing print-on-demand and book publishing industries, with a background in writing, editing, graphic design, and Web site development. She has been in publishing since 1988.

Thanks to the Internet, Susan and her husband James Byrd have been able to operate their business from a remote location in the forests of northern Idaho since 1996. Their Web sites have received kudos from USA Today, Tribune Media Services, and the BBC. Susan has been the principal designer for all of Logical Expressions Web sites, and all their client Web sites as well.

In addition to her books Susan has written more than 1200 online articles, 70 national magazine articles, and 200 newspaper columns, an online software training course, and book chapters.

Along with her writing, Susan has been doing design and editorial work since 1988. She has created magazines, newsletters, books and other book-length documents such as users guides and manuals. She was awarded the Most Valuable Professional designation from Microsoft in 1996 for her expertise in working with long documents in Microsoft Word.

She also is the co-creator of a writing and creativity program called IdeaWeaver and the founder of the National Association of Pet Rescue Professionals, which provides tools and information to help humane organizations save more companion animal lives.
