About the Author

Jason was born in 1970 in Vancouver, Canada, where he grew up immersed in military history. Both of his grandfathers served during World War II, along with many other relatives who fought in various conflicts abroad. He cherished the tales they shared with him. As time went on and these veterans passed away, Jason realized that much of their history was lost with them. In the years that followed, he began documenting the stories of soldiers, airmen, and sailors who had served their nations. Fast forward to today, and Jason has embarked on a mission to share the experiences of his new friends and contacts—the men of MACV SOG. Jason states, "These stories of the men of MACV SOG should not fade into obscurity. I am committed to preserving their histories so that future generations can learn about these courageous warriors."
