Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Meredith Kiger
This silly story is about a little boy, Michael, who just loves to play in the mud. He just doesn't play with the mud, he truly plays in the mud, much to the chagrin of his neighbors and his family, who pretty much reject him for his mud playing ways. Everyone is so annoyed with him that they refuse to talk to him or even let him into the house for lunch. Michael refuses to give up his errant ways, but finally becomes tired and hungry when he is banished to the outdoors. When the rain washes Michael off, he is allowed into the house for lunch. After lunch, he returns to his muddy ways. Colorful illustrations support Michael's love of mud and mess. 1999 (orig.
