A Pumpkin for God was inspired by the authors Granddaughter Keri, who was trying to accept her Grandfathers death and did it in such a beautiful way that I felt it was a story that should be told. Great Illustrations by Illustrator Steve Lavigne.
Rachel Elaine reviewed the book and said. This is an absolutely charming children's book that is not necessarily seasonal as it is based on the timeless topic of a child dealing with her grief after the loss of her beloved grandfather. Five year old Keri, devises her own way to honor her grandfather with an interesting twist to include God as well.
Each turn of the page provides delightfully vibrant illustrations of artist, Steve Lavigne, to tell part of the story for young children to follow along with.
Rendering a simple plot and a sweet resolution, "A Pumpkin For God" is sure to be a much loved book of any child.

A Pumpkin for God is a very unique and interesting book that I enjoyed very much and I am sure others will enjoy as well. It is a real story about a young girl who is coping with the loss of her grandfather. The book is about a trip the little girl and her grandmother take to visit the grandfather at the cemetery. This story takes place close to Halloween. This is a very enjoyable book to read and the illustrations by Steve Lavigne are as good as Illustrations get. The story and Illustrations is absolutely beautiful.
