"We’ve got to give it to Fifty Shades for bringing this topic out of the dungeon and into mainstream living rooms, but BDSM fans have of course been mixing their pain and pleasure for a good long time before Fifty Shades was even a germ of an idea. There are a lot of quite good erotic romances that explore this subject in interesting ways. I recommend checking out Shoshanna Evers’ Chastity Belt or Punishing the Art Thief..."

I'm already partial to Shoshanna's works and enjoyed reading this book, her first published novella.

As with many of the erotic romance shorts I've read of hers, this story also sucked me in right away. I meet Melissa Dwyer, an art history on a salary too low to attend art world parties, who bumps into a former student turned security guard, James Tannen. Drawing upon their prior affiliation, Melissa sweet-talks her entry onto the premises and discovers a famous authentic painting hidden behind a closed door. Taking it with her, she quickly leaves the party.

Realizing Melissa is behind the theft, James takes matters into his own hands and blackmails her. Noting Melissa's bedside reading has BDSM flavors, none of which she has actually tried but from which James draws inspiration, he sets the agenda for the weekend: Melissa should be punished by being his submissive.

PUNISHING THE ART THIEF is a sexy read with BDSM themes with a nice twist at the end--definitely a read I recommend.

    Hot Read

Melissa Dwyer sneaks into a party for one reason. The Rembrandt. She gets past security guard, James Tannen and into the room where the painting is being held. After James catches her in that room, he realizes who she is. She's the art teacher he has been lusting after for three years.

When he learns her secret, Melissa will do anything to keep the painting for herself. James will do anything to get her into his bed. He offers her a weekend with him. If she spends the weekend under his control than he will keep her secret. If not he will turn her in to an anonymous tip line to the FBI.

But the weekend becomes more than they both bargained for. Melissa learns some secrets about James and she learns some feelings she has as well.

Fast paced, intense, and sexual. This book is every naughty fantasy come to life for the reader. Ms. Evers has done an amazing job creating characters and a world her readers can escape into and enjoy some "me" time. The storyline is an attention getter and will be hard to put down. Not only is it full of sexual fantasies but there is a great story behind it all. You have suspense, wonderment and excitement. You have a painting that was stolen then stolen again. Who is the real owner of this painting? You'll have to read to find out.

After reading this story and enjoying these characters I cannot wait to read more from this author. Shoshanna Evers, you have a fan for life with me!!
