"Most dog stories end in sadness. Humans generally have a greater lifespan than dogs; no matter how close and loving their tenure may be, dogs grow old and fade away. Sometimes the person does not survive the dog. In this case, the dog often pines away over his loss.
Still, the stories and memories are paramount in our minds. Apparently, the same is true of dogs.
These memories are a part of my life. I can't imagine which would be worse--my being without my four-year-old parti-cocker Madison, or her being without me. In all probability though, she will still have her Nana and that will be a comfort.
To reiterate--all dog stories end in sadness, but this is a collection of good memories--as sad as they may be."
