Overview

The third installment in Water Music's Pure Trance series seems to have melody on the brain, which may prove confusing to the club-crawling cognoscenti but works out great for the rest of us. The album opens strongly with a remix of Dito's "Sky" and the lovely "Calling Your Name" by Jan Johnston, and although things start to slide into mere house-beat tedium with Jezper Soderlund's "Angel," they pick up again with the rhythmically varied "Don't Stop the Party" by Tory Kay and later with the sweet and lovely "Free (In the Name of Love)" by DJ Greenhead and DJ Nuke. There's also a welcome slice of Asian exotica in the form of Shahin and Shiva Sound's intriguing "Jeh Rog." Series producer Jose Antonio Oliva contributes the almost-funky "Saturday [Radio Mix]," and Moby makes an equally welcome appearance with a Ferry Corsten remix of "In My Heart." This is a good overview of some of the more interesting strains in club music at the turn of the century.

This album brightened my day. It's nice to see that good trance albums still exsist these days with all the cornish electronical stuff out there. I give this cd 4 stars because the beat was catchy and the tunes uplifting. "Pure Trance 3", is a must have for any Trance/Euro-Trance fan.The only thing I did not like however, was it started off with nice beats and all that, but around the middle it got kinda choppy and slow as the songs got a little off-tone for what you would typically think was on a Trance album, but overall I like this cd and I would recommend it to all to enjoy.
