I Also Recommend:

    Handy and Inspiring

If you're a fan of the "Purpose Driven Life" series OR are simply searching for a good Christian journal to put your thoughts down and stimulate your spiritual thinking, consider this book. A few of the things I liked about it:

-there's plenty of space for writing down your thoughts
-inspiring passages on most pages
-decent questions to ponder

I guess you could consider this as a kind of "workbook" too- not simply a place to jot down what's on your mind as the questions point you to specific areas. A decent little journal, I doubt most will be disappointed. Also recommend "Finding Happiness in a Frustrating World" to help get one's life goals on track.

    Motivational!!

This book really helped me in my quest to find meaning and purpose in my life. In the forty days I was able to learn alot about what kind of person I want to become. Only one other book has motivated me this much in my desire to live a devout christian life, and that was 'Passport to the Future'.

    Very Helpful!

In the search for making sense of life, this book and one other have really helped me! This book gives spiritual foundation and the book, 'With Joseph in the University of Adversity' illustrates those foundations through the life of Joseph in the Old Testament. I highly recommend both these books!

    Not for a non-christian

I picked up this book just because it was on the best-selling list, but was disappointed as it is only for christianity. I am an open-minded person, but at some point I was lost, as I have not read the bible.

    Joyce, a true Believer

I agree with Kim.There are so many translations used that you need to follow with a reliable translation. Inspite of that, this is a book that has been long needed in the Christian community. I have learned so much about my relationship with God or lack of. I have gained a greater depth of understanding and feel God's presence more than I ever have in my life.I have found a peace I never knew before.

    Troubled From Day One

I was so excited to begin this book with my church family. Unfortunately I found myself troubled from day one. The purposes in this book are scriptural, but the author quotes 'the Bible says' countless times with so called paraphrase translations that are inaccurate at best. If you do read this book have a reliable translation and check the quotes yourself. (NASB, NIV, NKJV or KJV) The Bible does say, ¿Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handing the work of truth.¿ 2 Timothy 2:15 NASB
