Overview

Pursuit is a stand alone book with a beginning, middle, and end. The hero has alpha-male tendencies so strong that the book needs a warning label. **** Warning Label****

Logan Crenshaw is doing just fine until a chance meeting with Lauren Jacobs sends his libido into a tailspin. When she turns down his offer of a date, his hunting instincts go on high alert and a predatory urge he never knew existed explodes within him.

Lauren Jacob's life is perfectly predictable until she meets Logan Crenshaw, a man who won't take 'no' for an answer. Logan is more rampaging beast than normal man and Lauren finds herself the prey he wants to plunder. Being the target of his sexual quest is more than exciting, but when it's over, will she be safe in his care or just the prize after his merciless pursuit?
Excerpt:
As Logan picked up the check, Lauren made a move for her purse.
He raised a single eyebrow and annoyance crossed his features. "Don't do that."
"Why not?" She asked as casually as she could manage.
"I asked you out," he replied succinctly.
"Does that mean if I ask you out, you'll let me pay?" she enquired innocently.
"No," he snapped.
Lauren wasn't trying to argue; she was just curious. "Why not?"
He stared at her steadily. "What are you expecting me to say here, Lauren? Me, Tarzan . . . you Jane?"
Her heart started a heavy beat. Was it from apprehension or excitement? Oh, excitement, definitely. "Is that the way you feel?" she questioned.
His eyes narrowed on hers and she stilled at the look she saw there. His voice was gravelly as he answered, "You don't really want to know how I feel."

Logan takes one look at Lauren and is hot on her trail within moments. Yes, he's a caveman, total alpha male, wants what he wants when he wants it kind of man...the type Lynda Chance knows her fans appreciate even when we're tempted to lay him out with an iron skillet. But at least she allows us an inner glmpse into his own self-knowedge: he knows from their first date/first kiss that she affects him like no other woman, that his brand of intensity is likely to scare Lauren away, and that he has to control his nearly overwhelming sense of jealousy and need to possess the girl he calls his "sunshine" or he'll scare her off permanently. Lauren knows pretty quickly how deeply involved SHE is, but she's not sure if Logan loves her or just wants to own her. Watching their torrid relationship deepen as they maneuver around the obstacles of their fears makes for a very sexy read. Warning: her books are explicit, and her men take the definition of primitive alpha to a whole new high...but cavemen are so good at making fire!

## WOW. Uh....wow. Yes, it bears repeating. Oh, how I loved this story. Fan-freaking-tastic. I almost didn't buy this book because I was so disappointed in Ms. Chance's "Sarah's surrender". The hero in that book was just a plain old ass*ole. He was borderline abusive. You can be alpha without being a douchebag. And THAT is what Logan is. He's as alpha as they come but still a sweet, caring guy. He was so hot, I was sure I had been drooling. Omg, I'm still reeling. And I love that for once the heroine wasn't a complete doormat. I enjoyed both characters and will definitely be reading this again.

I didn't really care for this book. I appreciated the female character having her own career and somewhat of a voice of her own, but I felt she should  speak up more and communicate more. The male character was too alpha for me. Not that I mind the strong, stoic sex god characters but Logan was borderline creepy to me and almost abusive.  Their chemistry together didn't seem to connect much either. I only got sex and sex and more sex. I finished it but the ending seemed rush and the book seemed under developed to me. Read at your own risk!

The book is completely pointless. The story runs in a stream of big fat deal. There's no real emotion other than Logan's allha male postering that really loses any appeal since great effort is made from the beginning to call him an alpha. Lauren has zero personality, is completely weak, and written purely to succomb to Logan's advances. Even her work friend Heidi is silly and is ony written in to the story to dispense crap ass advise. Not worth the read unless you're snowed in and horny.

I loved me some Logan. He is pure alpha, but gentle with his women.

You either love Lynda Chance or you hate her. At least that's been my experience when it comes to her books. Thankfully, this was a book I really enjoyed. It was OTT, but that's what Chance does best. 4 Stars

Finally a woman who stops running from the dominant male and instead embraces it/him and her feelings about it! I have read a lot of books (by this auther as well as many others) and yes my tastes run in this spectrum. ..so when i say i couldnt be anymore happier that i finally found a story that didnt irritate me or i should say the female character esp didnt. Lauren and logan are so perfect together its amazing, she's not fighting his male dominance, but he is trying to hold back as to not push her to fast, when thats what she wants. Dont worry they are so in tuned to each others emotions they handle things so quickly, we readers are not left frustrated. Sooo loved this book !!!

Their interactions are limited to sex. I had very neutral feelings for both leads.

The Characters were not likeable. They were not developed and it was hard to finish. Not for me.

It was okay. Not to much of a story.

I normally love Lynda Chance books, but this novel just fell flat. There were a few good moments of dialogue, but I had to force myself to finish it.

I loved how much was written from Logan's point of view. It was a passionate relationship and I enjoyed the two characters! I have re-read this one several times.
