    put me in the zoo

    This is an excellent book to read aloud. Toddlers like the story and have no trouble following along as it is read. The book allows them to interact with the reader who can ask for their input since the spots change in color or location on every page. Mr. Lopshire could have made better use of the background boy and girl who could be more important to the theme rather than just background scenery. As a reader for 2 year olds, I endorse the book and feel it should be in the Toddlers bookshelf.

    My Baby's Favorite

    This is my 18 month old son's favorite book. We had to order another copy because he carried the other one around and looked through the pages so much that it is falling apart! I read him this story at least three times a day and I'm still not sick of it!

    Childhood Memories

    This book is so much fun to read. It was a favorite of mine as a kid and now I get to read it to my daughter. A great read for kids of all ages...even the ones in their thirties

    i've loved this book for 30 years

    you just can't find a book more fun than this one. i knew this book by heart as a child, and every kid i've given it to has enjoyed it. it's about a creature with big red polka dots who wants to live in the zoo. a prefect gift!

    Absolute must have!

    I loved this book over 40+ years ago and still love it today. I bought this for my grandaughter to read, and she loves it just as much as I do. She loves to practice reading. She loves how it rhymes and the colorful pictures as she learns to read.

    Great Board Book For Infants and Toddlers

    My daughter received this board book when she was a newborn. From age 4 months on, it's been a favorite. (My daughter is nineteen months old now.) It's the only book that doesn't make noise, pop-up, have touchy-feely stuff in it, or contain flaps that we read over and over and over again.

    Lopshire-Put me in the Zoo

    My 19 month son really likes this book. He loves going to the zoo so any book that relates to that right now scores really high with him. He has not responded yet to the zany quirkiness of the character though...all in time, I am sure.

    A childhood classic

    My grandma used to read this to me at her house. I bought for my daughter at 18 months in board book and now the regular hardback full story at 2 1/2. She likes this book very much. The simple illustrations are just right for the story. It addresses dealing with rejection in a positive way and how people possess unique gifts and talents.

    A classic kid's story

    The animal in this book is trying to earn a place in the zoo by showing two young children all the amazing things he can do. Silly, with sneaky lesson in colors here's a story that proves that what we want isn't always what's best for us.
