    Great Guide

This is a great book. I have attended several baby showers that felt uptight, when it came time for me to plan my girlfriends shower I wanted a lil-mo pazzaz. Well I found it in this book. Infact I use this book as a reference for planning my Blessingway Ceremonies.

Put Soul In Your Baby Shower: The African-American Baby Shower Book

The hostess of my baby shower used this book as a guide for planning the memorable event. Thanks to the author for giving ideas on how to celebrate/embrace my culture (African-American) in the shower.

Finally! Here's a baby shower book for the baby shower with soul in it.

From cover to cover this guide speaks to the traditions, spirit and flavor that typically season African-American baby showers. With ample cultural themes, games, and gift suggestions that celebrate the 'roots' of the baby, this book is the answer. We especially love Soul Baby Gift Auction and a lullaby game in which the expectant parent(s) is serenaded in different musical styles including reggae, rap and opera. Can you imagine the fun?!!! Kudos go to author Tonya D. Evans who has made sure to celebrate the fathers of our Village by including them in the festivities. Wilma Ann Anderson Editor, Mahogany Baby Magazine

    You call this a book

This shouldn't be called a book, it should be called a waste of time. The author writes very poorly. She has trouble making the words in the book flow. Poorly written, I can't believe someone published this book.

    An Awesome Resource!

This entire book is jammed packed with ideas to plan a lively and magnificent soulful baby shower. It was used as a reference to plan my sister¿s baby shower. The Afro-Centric theme was the theme that was selected for the event, along with two of the games - The Def Poetry Nursery Rhyme, and The Old Wise Tale Baby Game. Everyone had a BLAST! This book is highly recommended!
