Editorial Reviews

School Library Journal - School Library Journal
Gr 8 Up-- The alliterative title aptly describes the contents of this book, but needs one more word: ``successfully.'' Planning, handling finances, refreshments, decorating, and publicity are all clearly presented. Randolph provides guidelines and ideas along with the tools and techniques for carrying them out with finesse. Her use of examples, both positive and negative, help to emphasize her points. The information is clear, concise, and practical. Black-and-white photographs of average quality highlight parts of the book; of exceptional value are the charts, checklists, and lists of specific ideas, although some repetition occurs. An asset to anyone in charge of this kind of event. --Janice C. Hayes, Middle Tennessee State University, Murfreesboro
