About the Author

From the author in regard to the Calling Series: The Calling means so much to me. It's this idea of perception and how the mythology of the universe and Earth have played out and how I get to re-write that based on my imagination and some of my true feelings. It's about being a man pushing 35 and not having a sense of direction. It's about finding love and being totally unwilling to let it go.

Stephan was born in Berkeley California in June of 1980. He was two months premature and spent two weeks in the hospital, much to his mother's sorrow. Stephan grew up in East Richmond Heights and lived with his mother until she died of cancer in 1991. After her death he moved in with his Aunt and Grandparents in Benicia where he graduated high school in 1998.

His first novel, The Storm Before My Calm, centers around Benicia and what Stephan observed, experienced and imagined during his time there.

Stephan has a BA in Psychology from California State University at East Bay, and is currently working on his Masters in Social Work at California State University at East Bay.

He again lives in East Richmond Heights in the land of apocalyptic sunsets and pirate fog, with his fiancee Michelle and their three bulldogs.

His current work centers around the Calling Series and its mythos. He lives and breathes that world and looks forward to completing what he feels is his literary opus.
