Welcome to the second half of your life, or what we believe can be the best half of your life!

Queen of Your Own Life is a philosophy, a decision and an invitation to happiness for women who have made the tough but rewarding journey to the midpoint in their lives. We're excited to be your guides on this next big adventure.

With humor and common sense we will offer you our tried-and-true actions to blast away at the societal tall tale that young is beautiful and old is just old. With our seven simple steps we will help you let go of the negative thoughts that keep you from fully admiring and accepting yourself just the way you are—a woman in full bloom, valuable, sensual, vibrant, wise and more beautiful than ever.

Every significant stage of life is marked by a celebration or ritual—birth, graduation, marriage, even death—yet we have nothing to mark the momentous accomplishment of reaching midlife. That is, unless you count the horrible tradition of over-the-hill birthday parties, complete with black balloons, coffin-shaped cakes and gift bags filled with incontinence supplies. Yuck. That's the "celebration" society sets up for women as we reach midlife? After you follow our easy, straightforward guidelines to claiming your crown, we'll help you plan one hell of a kick-ass Crowning Ceremony, filled with laughter and good friends, that will mark your transition into the glorious second half of your life.

If you have been feeling that the best part of your life is past, then this book will prove to you that there is always something more and that the door to being happy is not only never closed but is just waiting for you to fl ing it open. Remember, you don't have to be twenty to have your whole life ahead of you.

So, let's get going. It's time to become Queen of Your Own Life—if not now, when?

    Perfect Gift for a Friend

This book was eye opening and frankly darned near life changing for me. After being laid off from my corporate job, I was feeling low. Kathy and Cindy spoke right to me in this inspirational, powerful book as they intimately share their own personal stories and encouraged me to review my own. By guiding me through my own Windy Mountain Moment, they helped me view myself as strong, dedicated, loving, powerful and brave at a time when I was feeling used up and sad. I now hold my head high with the knowledge that I'm beautiful and perfect just the way I am. I plan to share this book with every women I know.

    Bridget's Review

I had no idea how much your thoughts can influence your life. Every woman is a queen and should be treated as such. This book would make the perfect gift for someone who doesn't seem to understand her own worth. It's an amazing book with a great message.

    funny and inspiring

This book is a joy to read -- very inspirational and funny. I wish I had been smart enough to appreciate the message when I was younger, but time and experience are good teachers. I would share this book and its message with my girlfriends.

    Must Read!

A must read! This book was fantastic! It was a joy to read and I have and will keep recommending it to all the females in my life. The stories were so relatable. It was filled with so much honesty and humor. It made me laugh out loud and cry at the same time. It's a book all women should read, not just those over the age of 40. I look forward to hosting and attending many crowning ceremonies in the future and hope that I successfully fulfill my duties as a lady in waiting to all the other 'Queens' in my life.

I just loved every page of this book! The book made me laugh, cry and say "Queen up" many times over. Thank you both for your honesty and your willingness to bring this message to us. I am looking forward to my own crowning ceremony which will be in a few weeks with my girlfriends...this is a must read!

    Gift for a friend

I bought this book for a friend after seeing the authors on Good Morning America. My friend the shy and lacks self confidence. So far she feels the book is inspiring. I hope it will help her self esteem.
