The soundtrack to the gay-themed Showtime drama Queer as Folk takes root on the dance floor. The motion-inducing set bypasses disco's big names for synth-fueled tracks from up-and-comers such as Kristine W. "Lovin' You", Katty B. "Let's Hear It for the Boy" from Footloose, Full Frontal Divine's "You Think You're a Man", and Heather Small "Proud".

Katty B.'s reworking of "Let's Hear It for the Boy," Alcazar's "Crying at the Discotheque," and Barry Harris' "Dive in the Pool" are some of the other highlights from this fun, energetic collection, which doesn't necessarily reveal much about the show itself but will probably appeal to its audience.

    Dance in your seat Fantastic!!

If you are addicted to the show this CD only makes it better. I relive a lot of fantastic memories every time I play the disc. My only quibble...I wanted more of the songs played during the show.

    What the ....?!?

This is a very sad compilation considering other tracks that are played on the series. There are only like 3 good songs on the cd. Dive in the Pool, You Think You're a Man, and Crying at the Discotheque are the best this cd has to offer. BTW - the 2nd season soundtrack is very weak as well. Don't buy this if you're looking for dance music - IT'S ONLY FLUFF.

    Feel Good Music

I love the series, so naturally I bought the soundtrack. Its great feel good music. You can't help but move when you hear it. I listen to it every morning before work to get me going.

Great Music for Fans of the show

I love this cd. I love this TV series. Anyone who wants to relive the show should get this cd. I bought it for a friend this holiday season as we both love the show. Even non-QAF fans will love the ecclectic mix of tunes on this cd.
