    Don't waste your time!

The Prophet said, "Seek knowledge, even if it leads you to China". Unfortunately, this book, if you can call it a book, offers very little knowledge to be had. It is a collection of on man's idea about Islam. Aside from a few citations from the Quran, there is no citation to be found. It is purely opinionated non-sense. The author does nothing to back his statements with facts or history. It is clear that he has little understanding of physics. His arguments of knowledge of God from the universe around us are so fallacious that they need no further explanation to those who know an iota of philosophy. He further mixes religion with politics as he attempts to explain Palestinian-Israeli conflict. He fails to understand that the conflict is about the political and national aspirations of two peoples. The conflict has nothing to do with religion. It is people like El-Manzalawy who give the conflict a religious dimension.

I believe El-Manzalawy has a devotional-inspiration education in Islam. From this work, I doubt he has a Critical-Historical background in religious studies. This work is an insult to high school freshman level work, much less actual scholarly endeavor. If this is an example of what Islamic scholarship is capable of producing, I feel sorry that a religion that excelled in trigonometry, astronomy, medicine and countless other fields is reduced to 17 page pamphlets of pure none-sense disguised as scholarly activity.

I suggest if you really are interested in learning about Islam, keep moving. Don't waste your time on this book. I hardly think the rest of this author's books are any better. Admittedly I have not read the rest of his books. One is enough to get the gist of his writing style. Please find better sources to learn Islam from. This book is not one.

By the way, if you are wondering, I am a Muslim. But I recognize junk when I read it.

    Just wow.

If I could I would give this a negative rating. I have read about 20 pages of this drivel and the only conclusion I can arrive at is: This author can only argue in a circle. I was looking for something informative and this is not it. If you are looking for information about Islam pass this one by.

    more from this reviewer

    Don't bother

If the author thinks he's making a good case for Islam, he's sadly mistaken. I found myself irate with his stupid male chauvinistic views and especially the remarks about 9/11 was a reaction, not an action, and then how they would never hurt innocent people. Sure cured my willingness to give Muslims the benefit of the doubt.

As for my rating, too bad there isn't a place to receive no star. This must be a very radical person. I am sorry I downloaded it. It was no use to me, at all.

Will you print this? I understand why you choose to debate with unbelievers. You make a mistake again, belivingwhat the worlds media says about America. The media are liars for their oen benefit. There is only a tiny fraction of America which are nonbelievers. People everywhere are doing what they wish to do, instead of what GOD, the only GOD has told them he wishes them to do; that includes your people. We do not need to populate the world any further. That was the purpose of multiple wives. GOD included DNA as our form. He is All Powerful, All Seeing and All Prepared for mans manipulations for their own goals, DNA tests tell whether your sons, and daughters are yours or not. Jesus never stated he is a God. He had the essence of GOD to live among mankind to better understand, teach and allow forgiveness of mankind's rebellious imperfections; though pure himself. Proving he was not just human. GOD can accomplish anything! GOD himself has stated he will not live side by side with humans in his true form. HZis power would blind and destroy us. GOD has empowered Moses and others to impart his love, forgiveness, and understanding of life enhancement rules for all of his people. True information about a people's beliefs. To include understanding; We all belive in the same All Loving, and Awsomely All Powerful GOD! This understanding is the answer to tolerate all people the true one GOD blew life into. That is how America believes and succombs to GOD's will to provide for GOD'S people, All of them. Ruby
