I had the chance to read the book earlier this week after a friend met the author at a food show in New York. She purchased an autographed copy from her and called me the very next day to let me know that it was so wonderful and bursting with so many unique and delicious recipes. She knows how much I love to follow the newest kosher food trends. I am a regular customer of Kosherdotcom where the book is being offered and had one delivered to me with my weekly groceries. I must admit she was right on the money, I couldn't put it down. The pictures are gorgeous and everything sounds so delicious. Most of all I like the way she writes about her love of cooking for her family and friends. This book is probably the best yet from the world of kosher cooking, I can't wait to cook my first recipe from it this weekend. Thanks Jamie, good stuff.

This book has a few nice (and convenient) recipes, but I have one major complaint: The author assumes that the readers have access to many pre-made sauces, or otherwise partially to fully prepared items, which may be true if you live in Brooklyn, but not for many of us living outside of New York. Many of these "quick and easy" recipes are neither quick nor easy when you have to prepare them from scratch. In addition, many of the recipes are common-place, easily found recipes that most cooks would already know. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. I own a lot of cookbooks. This one collects dust because it is for people who have no clue how to cook. In fact the author discusses in the book how she went from career to domestic and this cookbook is the result of that. The recipes are common dishes in kosher homes. Don't bother. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.
