- Shopping Bag ( 0 items )
It allows you to:
--Build an item catalog over time that you can use to build future shopping lists, eliminating the need to re-enter the same items every time you make a list.
--Organize your items by store so you can create separate shopping lists by store.
--View your shopping list in alphabetical order, or in order by the aisle numbers you provide, so you can check off items down the list as you walk your normal path through the store.
--Add an item in your catalog to your current shopping list with just a tap, and check off an item from your list the same way, making list management quick and easy.
When you first start using the app, you'll build your shopping list by adding new items to your item catalog. On subsequent shopping trips, you'll be able to select previous items from the catalog, either by scrolling through the catalog or filtering it with the item name / search box at the top, and then tapping the name of the item to add it to the current list.
Each item can have a name and a description (brand, flavor, etc.), a default quantity and unit ("1 8oz bag") vs. the quantity and unit for the current shopping trip, a store, and a location (a numeric aisle number and an aisle name/description). As your catalog grows, you can select previously-entered values for these item attributes to use with your new items, reducing the amount of typing.
When you're at the store and ready to shop, choose the shopping list for that particular store and the shopping list screen will display the items you selected for that store from the item catalog. As you acquire each item, simply tap the item name in the list and it will turn gray to indicate that you already have the item. If you would prefer to have acquired items disappear from the list instead, you can tap the Settings button in the top right corner and change that behavior on the Settings pop-up window. If you took the time to add aisle numbers to your items, you can also change your settings to have shopping list items listed by aisle number rather than alphabetically, letting you check items off your list in the order in which you encounter them as your walk your normal route through the store.

I really like this app! You build the list so it doesn't have a bunch of obscure things on it. My only disappointment is that it only holds one list. I would love to be able to have multiple lists so I can create lists by store.

A good way to keep track of everything in your pantry. Nice that you can shop from the master list, crossing out items as you get them, or things you already have at home without changing the master list. You must add each item initially, however. In future updates, it would be nice to be able to separate food/non-food items, or to be able to create more than one list.

This really helps me keep all my shopping organized. I organized my catalog list by food catagory, ie; meat, dairy, bread, etc. Ex: bread, wheat; bread, italian; bread, rolls hamberger, keeps everything organized. I even added different stores for the days shopping, ie: home depot, screws; home depot, paint, you can always delete when you are finished for the day. Too bad there is not a calculator to keep track of tje spending.

The first time you use it, you have to enter the items you're shopping for, but once they're in your inventory you can add them to your current shopping list by tapping on the item name, so it gets easier to make your list every week with less and less typing.
It could be better, but it works okay for what it does.

The is a terrible app and the update only made it worse!!! It deleted all of the items that I added! I only gave it 1 star because that was the lowest score. Wish I could have given it 0 stars for wasting my money!!!! Use "Grocery Shopping List" app by Jimbl instead.

AS OF 03/15/2012, upgrades to this app still result in a loss of your list data. Overall, great app but don't upgrade until data loss issue has been resolved. FEATURES: I loved this app as you can build a master item catalog list with various details for each item such as a description of the item, the usual/default quantity & size and a current list-specific quantity & size (if different from the default), aisle/location, store name, and a toggle option to include the item on your current shopping list. You can easily change views from the master catalog list to the shopping list and sort by name or by aisle number. In shopping list view, as you procure an item, you can tap on the item name and it will dim/gray out as it is ‘checked off the list’ (really liked this last feature). EXPERIENCE: I had only entered a few items on the master list when I first updated the app and all of my list info disappeared. I rebuilt the master list over the next several grocery trips and also spent time going through my cupboards to complete the list for future use. Added the aisle numbers per the route I normally take through the store, which is another feature I really like (as I prefer to pick up the refrig/frozen items last, rather than by following the store’s numbered, physical layout). However, just lost all of that info with the last upgrade published for this app. I wish I had seen the blog comments posted by the app developer before I installed that last upgrade! SOLUTION: I can (1) recreate my list using this app and not perform any other upgrades UNTIL the app developer’s blog (his URL is listed in the Product Details under this app on the B&N site) confirms the loss of data issue has been resolved (I still consider this to be a functional app for my use, as long as I don't upgrade any further until the data loss issue is resolved), (2) look for another app that provides an option to back-up your data to another location that also provides the features that I like about this app or, (3) resort to my ‘pre-Nook’ method of using paper ( NOT going to happen). GENERAL COMMENTS: Would like to see a back-up option added to this app so that I could save a copy of my master item catalog and my current list to my memory card, or other location. If the data loss issue didn’t exist (or gets resolved in the future), I’d give this app 5 stars; but considering my experience with the data loss resulting from the previous upgrades, I’m giving it 2 stars.
