Quiet Heart/Spirit Wind is a two-fer reissue of Richard Warner's first two solo CDs. It is a set of sedate and soothing music. Quiet Heart, from 1982, has seven beautifully serene compositions. Narada has added two new pieces for the re-release. Warner performs acoustic minimalism as well as anyone. Spirit Wind, from 1984, features Warner's acoustic flutes accompanied by crystal glasses that were tuned by adding water. He had six friends playing the crystal. He also adds chimes, a rainstick, a piano, and finger cymbals. The atmospheres are vast and smooth. There are no rough edges. This is a great set.
