If you have ever wondered where to go canoeing or kayaking in NJ this book is a great start. I pretty much went to the same places every year (Delaware River, Wading River, Cedar Creek, etc.). I stumbled on to this book in the library when I was looking for kayaking titles. The book provides a brief synopsis of 50 locations, most of which I had never heard of or thought of. It lists POC info for each, closest camping, type of habitat, USGS map shown on and provides a small map of the body of water and access points. It's great, expand you paddling experience, see new places. I liked it so much I bought it. It makes a great planning guide for scout groups.
