I am a new quilter, so always looking for information on how to actually DO the quilting. I was excited to subscribe to this magazine, thinking there would be lots of great projects, explanations of how to do things, etc etc. Admittedly, my interests are in art quilting, not traditional. However, I just canceled my subscription today. More and more, these magazines (which are NOT cheap to purchase) are full of advertising more than helpful instructions or articles. The few articles that ARE in the magazine are usually pretty good, but there just are not enough of them. It seems that if the magazine wants to accept that much advertising, then the cost to the end subscriber should be lower than it is. It feels like I am paying for the sponsors myself at this point! I wanted to love this publication, but I just don't. I don't know if it has changed over the years, but the incarnation of what it is now is more advertising than help, more pages to flip through than to stop and read. Maybe they'll change back some day, but until then, I've decided that I'd rather spend my money on fabric than this bundle of ads for quilting services.

I got the trial issue - most of the photos and ads are not there. I am able to get free digital issues through my library - zinio is better and has the full magazine.
