    I Also Recommend:

Must have reference for the novice quilter!

I have sewn most of my life but never quilted until recently. I found this book one of my best investments in my quilting journey, far above most other beginner quilting books I have tried. It is easy-to-read and easy-to-follow with instructions from A to Z. Also, the spiral binding allows the book to lay open for easy reference as you work.

Another excellent reference for the novice quilter is the "Quilter's Academy Vol. 1 - Freshman Year", by Harriet and Carrie Hargrave. "Quilter's Academy Vol. 1" takes the novice quilter through choosing fabric, sewing machines, and step-by-step instructions to make the quilting projects built into the lessons.
