Meet the Author

Tula Pink designed her first fabric collection in her living room in L.A., after work and on weekends. The day she left her job in L.A., she sent her collection to Moda Fabrics and by the time she got to Albuquerque, it was in production. Tula was a Senior Designer with Moda, as well as having her own design label with them, producing the incredibly popular Neptune and Plume collections among others. She currently works with Free Spirit and received rave reviews on her recent Parisville and Prince Charming lines. Her fabrics are designed not just for quilting, but for a whole lifestyle of DIY-ers.

    Love

I have not too patiently awaited the release of this book and I was not disappointed! Tula's witty writing, fun patterns, gorgeous fabric eye-candy, not to mention Angela Walters' absolutely stunning quilting, make this book a must-have! Tula even explains and shows examples of her fabric design process. This will be a go-to book for inspiration!

This book is gorgeous, and I'm glad to have it, even if I doubt

This book is gorgeous, and I'm glad to have it, even if I doubt I'll make many of the projects. I love that she shows some of her design process, I would have loved to see more of that. One of the few quilting books where I actually read the front "how-to" sections instead of skipping straight to the patterns. The writing is fun and the pictures are beautiful, and I'll be flipping through it frequently.

    Quilting

The book was not exactly as I had expected or hoped. I prefer to see more patterns and not as much time spent on the specifics of "how to" and designer choices. I want to be able to make quilts, not just read on the subject.

    More than a quilt book

This was a fun read as well as quilt book! Tula explains the process of creating, gives helpful tutorials for quick assembly, and generally has fun telling you about the projects! Photos are beautiful and I liked that the book gave proper measurements for purchasing fabric.
