Veteran health writer Schlosberg (The Ultimate Workout Log; Weight Training for Dummies) and the 200 highly trained "quit coaches" from Alere Wellbeing, a Seattle-based company that helps smokers beat their nicotine habits, have put together a successful plan that makes cutting smoking out of one's life achievable for all smokers. The authors use a multitude of case studies, focusing primarily on how readers can prepare to quit, fight urges, and control their environment. The strategies include "mini-quits" (or going without cigarettes for short periods of time), nicotine replacement medications, and self-talk. Endorsed by the American Cancer Society, this book gives readers a full range of options. VERDICT A straightforward guide for those looking for some help with smoking cessation.

    Inspirational, clearly written, and realistic. This is a program that has worked for tons of people, and there's no gimmick... it just lays out what you need to do and gives specifics on how to do it. It will change a lot of lives.

    Yeah and i have one that doesnt cost a thing. Just quit. I did it, my husband did it and we didnt waste money on books that dont work!

    Curious on price

    This book was a Daily Find on New Years day for which it would be a good day for B&N sales because of those who make New Years resolutions. It was offerd for 1.99 and when I got my bank statement I seen I was charged 10.99!B&N said it was not a promotional item according to them,10.99 end of storyPlease if this happend to anyone else to back me up I would be very gratefull I'm not through with this matter yet.I would like some more ammo. Granny B.
