Fairly interesting plot, but the writing needs some work.

This is definitely not the author of The DaVinci Code, although that book is listed under "Other Books by This Author." While the content is interesting (I was intrigued by the plot), the writing style is convoluted and hard to follow. The use of flashing backward and forward in time (as well as interwoven plot lines) is an interesting technique if utilized properly. Unfortunately, in this case, it does not flow smoothly. The mechanics are often distracting (there are many typos and grammatical errors). There is also no apparent publishing company? Were the author and editor(s) to make some alterations, this could be a good book. However, I would not recommend it in its current form.

    I Also Recommend:

    Disappointing

This is not the Dan Brown who wrote "The Da Vinci Code," "Angels & Demons," etc., etc. as I thought when I downloaded this book. Guess I missed the disclaimer. This Dan Brown wrote with overmuch detail in the wrong places, and the main character had an out of proportion response to his motivation. A few of his adjectives raised my right eyebrow. I don't know if this is this author's first novel, but if it is, he should write another because he shows talent, but needs guidance, experience, and a knowledgeable editor.
If I had known that this was not the "real" Dan Brown, I wouldn't have bought it.

    Deceptive

Not the Dan Brown that wrote "Angels and Demons". I think that should have mentioned. Deceptive.

    more from this reviewer

    Not the same Dan Brown

This is not the same Dan Brown who wrote DaVinci Code, Lost Symbol, Angels & Demons, etc. However clicking on the "More by This Author" button lists those books. I gave it only 1 star because it was required to submit this comment. I have not read Race the Pale Horse.

    Okay read

I wasn't as impressed with this book. Kind of a let down after reading The DaVinci Code and The Lost Symbol which I would highly recommend reading.

A few pages into this book and the author states he is not the Dan Brown of The Davinci Code, but shares the same name. I wish the reader would have an earlier heads up on this point..BEFORE buying the book. Can we return a book ?

not Davinci Code, Dan Brown. Found out after I purchassed the e-book. Ok read but skips to future/past in strange order. I wouldn,t of bought this book if I'd known there was 2 Dan Browns. Kind of sneaky, I'd say.

One of the worst books eaver!

Perhaps this person - not the real Dan Brown - should change his profession. He is not an author. Book jumps from time to time and charictor with no real connection, plot is old but good. Story is 200 plus pages of crap, I wasted my money and time on it. I will not read his work again.
