    Disappointing

    I am a huge fan of Rachel Ashwell and have all her Shabby Chic books. I am very disappointed with this one. The cover is beautiful but the inside contents failed to deliver, there was nothing that inspired or wowed me.

    Sadly Dissapointed

    Don't waste your money on this book. I have all of Rachel Ashwel's books, however, this one doesn't even begin to compare with her others. The Photography is not very appealing. In addition, the shabby furniture in the rooms look quite junky without the classic white paint she normally uses to spruce things up.. I don't know how this book could inspire anyone.

    The good news is that I still love all her other Shabby Chic books.

    Shabby Chic Interiors - beautiful and useful.

    I have bought several of Rachel Aswell's books, and this is her best. She and her photographer Amy Neunsinger have created a series of beautifully appointed and photographed rooms that inspire the reader. This is a great gift book for women and men.

    Never Enough Shabby Chic

    I bought Rachel's book the day it was released on the stands. I love her books - all of them. The photography is great (as usual), reading is very interesting, and the presentation and layout is delightful. As a shabby chic decorator, I have come to rely on Rachel's professional manner and use of the colors that are truly delightful to my eyes. That's it, another Shabby Chic book that is eye candy as well.

    Save your money!

    Like other reviewers, I have all the Ashwell books and have enjoyed them all immensely...until this one. It's drab, dark, uninspiring...nothing like her other stuff. Which is fine, the woman has a new aesthetic preference, so be it. But how about announcing that on the front of the book? "Rachel Ashwell's Completely New & Different Take on Shabby Chic Interiors" would be more like it. Very very disappointed in this book.

    Highly Disappointing!

    I own every Rachel Ashwell book ever published and have enjoyed all of them, until now. I ordered this book based on my enjoyment of her past books and the pretty cover. But, the cover was the best part of the book, all of the rooms inside looked messy and incomplete. It looked like photos of unkept and unfinished rooms. Very disappointed. I will think long and hard before I buy another Rachel Ashwell decorating book.

    GORGEOUS

    I love Rachel Ashewell's Shabby Chic decorating books and this is one of the most beautiful! The photos are just wonderful and do truly inspire the reader. Rachel's ideas and the beautiful photography make this book a collectible keepsake book. My mother also loves her (probably even more that I do) and she actually bought two copies of this book because she loved it so much. She wants to keep them nice and have a back up copy. =)
