I originally saw the author on a tv show called Beer Nuts. He appeared to be very knowledgable so I searched out his book. It gives a good history of beer, plus good overview for anyone that wants to try brewing. I have not tried any of the recipes in his book, but I have followed the advice he provided. I have brewed 6 batches of beer in the last 10 months and have thoroughly enjoyed it.
