Purpose: This book is helpful for the radiology students who are preparing for their ARRT certification examination. It will help students focus their study in all the areas that are covered on the exam. The PREP is very helpful to both the student preparing for the exam and the educators helping the students. The student and educators will be able to identify areas that may need more attention. The book is broken up into small sections, making it easier to review all the needed concepts for the examination.

The book is complete with over 280 illustrations to help appeal to the visual learner. These illustrations include radiographs and diagrams labeled with anatomy. Summary points at the end of each section are helpful for a quick review. Chapter exercises help to ensure understanding for the material covered. After the chapter exercises, sample registry type questions will help the student to master the information in that section. The endpapers of the book are not wasted space, they serve as a "last minute cheat sheet," with formulas, landmarks, and processing systems listed on them. This book is extremely well organized and formatted to make retention easier.
Assessment: This review is not only helpful to the student, but can also be used as a guide for the educator.
