Editorial Reviews

Doody's Review Service
Reviewer: Kurosh Safavi, MD (Ochsner Health Center - Metairie)
Description: Intended as handy source of high-yield radiology facts, this book imparts the information using a question/answer format. The previous edition was published in 2005.
Purpose: The purpose is to provide a book that distills the most important points from each subspecialty of radiology. These are worthy objectives, in particular, for a resident in training.
Audience: Radiology residents are the intended audience.
Features: High-yield material for each branch of diagnostic radiology is covered, including some physics. The section, "Diagnostic Radiology as a Profession," is a nice touch. Image quality in general is good, but the mammography images could be better.
Assessment: Radiology residents and even motivated medical students would find this book useful. It's well organized and easy to use.
