Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Rachel Miller
Ragdoll cats are a type of large, fluffy cat. They have an extra amount of fur around their necks. Since there is so much long hair the cats need to be brushed regularly to be sure their coat does not tangle. Ragdoll cats have certain characteristics, such as dark colors on all of their points or a white stripe between their eyes. All Ragdoll cats are born with blue eyes and continue to have them through adulthood. These attributes are shown in the clear photographs that complement the text. Ragdoll cats are very smart and learn quickly. The author provides a list of additional books and Internet resources for readers who wish to learn more about cats. These are conveniently listed at the back of the book. The text is written with some repetitiveness to insure that the reader is reading the words accurately and understanding what is being read. The reader will learn new vocabulary while reading the book's main text as well as the glossary at the back of the book. This would be an outstanding asset to any guided reading curriculum. This is part of the "Cats" series. Reviewer: Rachel Miller

    Great Book for Kids!

Great book for families thinking of 'adopting' a ragdoll kitten/cat into their family. Cute pictures.
