How thrilling to be able to share the magical Raggedy Ann and Raggedy Andy stories with my little grandaughters! I have such wonderfully fond memories of being read these stories when I was a little girl almost 70 years ago and now I can enjoy them once again with my grandaughters. I am so pleased to see how much they, too, love these stories and treasure the Raggedy Ann and Raggedy Andy dolls I made them to hold while we read. They are so sure their dolls come alive at night and have enchanting adventures! These stories appeal to children's imagination and open up a whole new world to them. Also, the stories are filled with good advice for children and promotes kindness to others. My only wish is that Barnes & Noble would begin carrying the entire series of Raggedy Ann and Raggedy Andy books so that more children could be exposed to their merits!

I purchased this book for my granddaughter's first birthday. I did not remember the Raggedy Ann story, but had purchased a Raggedy Ann doll for her bed. I brought the book home and began reading the stories. There were many short tales that could each stand alone. The stories were engaging, but the book was definitely not a picture book for a baby. However, I thought that the stories were enchanting and captured what I intended to with this purchase, to create memories and restore traditions. I think that this modern world is so caught up in Nintendos, computers and WII and gentler days are gone. I want my granddaughter to have lasting years of memories with me and I think that this book will provide this. I thank that staff at Barnes and Noble for helping me to find this.

I bought this book as part of a first birthday gift for my granddaughter, along with Raggedy Ann and Andy dolls. (I bought Andy elsewhere.) Anyway, I know that she will enjoy having the book read to her. Grandma who like Raggedy Ann and Andy as a child.
