It has the feel of the Alias TV series without the painfully fake and unworkable romances. Several secret agencies working against one another leaves a lot of possiblities for the 'Wild Card'. I found this comic to be very well planned and written with a storyline that seems, at times, a little too realistic. If your into the secret agent genre this is a definite must for your collection.

This isn¿t a book featuring the white clothed spy vs. the black clothed spy from Mad Magazine. No, it¿s a graphic novel filled with action, adventure and a little romance. There is multiple shootouts, an assassination attempt, a formal dance, a secret government agency, a presidential family kidnapping and a rarity in fiction, a happily married couple. Raider: From the Shadows is a first rate adventure story. We have good guys versus bad guys with a mysterious player named Raider put in the middle. Thom Zahler does a good job of giving the reader enough information about the hero to allow you to enjoy the story but keep his background a mystery (to be solved in later volumes.). This is a ¿done in one story¿ so anyone can read the book and enjoy the story. It does however leave enough questions unanswered that you will be looking forward to the next volume.
