When I chose this book to present to my Children's Literature class, the students were captivated by the illustrations! What a wonderful tale of friendship, belonging, and identity... the pictures make the story come alive... children feel as if they can actually touch the long, dry grass or feel the coolness of the river. Was this review helpful?
