Good character .

The plot held my interest. Remind me of Stephanie Plum with Asian characters. Writing was a little simplistic but I would definitely read another book.

I enjoyed this mystery. I also enjoyed the byplay between Raina and her grandmother and her friend. I hope Raina and Matthew manage to get together.

Enjoyable read. Liked the characters especially the grandmother. Lots of characters and several suspects. Plot was good and had enough twists to make it a good mystery. Will read other books in this series.

: cozy-mystery, contemporary, romance, seniors, amateur-sleuth, women-sleuths Read on July 17, 2016 The grad student with problems. A murder of a colleague. Reappearance of ex husband who is lead detective on the case. A best friend/reporter who just steamrolls over everyone. Family trouble over an inheritance. A sassy Chinese grandmother who appears unannounced on her doorstep and moves right on in--to EVERYTHING. That's the basics, but the mystery/suspense are well done, and there is fun and snarks throughout. I really enjoyed it!

This book was all over the place. The only reason i continued to read it was to see who the killer was. Disappointed with this one.
