When I bought this book I thought it would be a book about how to raise a son. It's titled 'Raising a Son' and has a picture of a mother teaching her son how to ride a bike. I was wrong! This entire book is about nothing but Oedipus complex. Weiss says that you'll have sexual urges to sleep with your son and he'll feel the same about you. He'll make sexual advances towards you and you'll enjoy that but you have to 'keep yourself under control' and resist the urge to have intercourse with him. Am I the only one who finds this sick? Weiss also says that if you're pregnant and you're hoping your baby is a girl then you have an identity crisis, you view boys as the rivalrous brother of your youth, having a boy would unleash your masculine side that you're trying to hide, you only see boys as a cruel husbands ally...etc. This woman is a psycho pervert who freely talks about wanting to have sex with her son. She hates girls and refers to her sons wife as 'the other woman'. Here's a quote from the book: 'Research conducted by two Welsh pyschiatrists has shown that the mothers of transvestites and transexuals were more likely than the mothers of normal heterosexual men to have wanted a daughter instead.' Don't waste your money on this garbage.
