    more from this reviewer

    A great place to start!

Now that we are expecting our first born, we're even more aware of the impact little things can have on us and certainly on our unborn child. This book is a great starting reference point for making the gradual move over to a totally green lifestyle. Dr. Greene acknowledges in the text that being able to do everything suggested is probably unlikely, so he gives plenty of solid information to work from - allowing you to do exactly as much as you can afford\ are willing to do. Even little changes make a difference longterm.

    Informative and Thought Provoking

This book is amazing! It is written in a very easy to follow format that is broken down into sections so it is easy to find things again, such as Kitchen, Bathroom, et. It gives fact based information as well as hands on ideas that you can do in your home. It makes it very easy to do small steps to change your lifestyle without turning your life upsidedown. I loved the product reviews and the great website lists in the back.

    Indespensible

was absolutely thrilled to read this book, knowing it's available for parents' planning on having children. Raising Baby Green is an essential guide to protect your baby from what are mostly unseen dangers. These dangers are found in everyday products everyone uses--from food, to personal baby care products to baby furniture and much more. They are the pesticides, chemicals, preservatives and additives that can harm babies. The book covers everything you need to raise a child in the safest possible manner, beginning in the womb. The book guides to help make non-toxic and safe choices for everything that affects the baby. The bonus is that a green lifestyle is beneficial to everyone in the family and for the environment as well. By the award winning author, Harmonious Environment: Beautify, Detoxify and Energize Your Life, Your Home and Your Planet

    A reviewer

I believe this is the first green parenting book written by a pediatrician. It's packed with authoritative and reliable advice. There are also hundreds of useful consumer tips and green product recommendations for babies. I noticed that it's also printed on 100% recycled paper, so right away you feel good about buying it! Illustrated & beautiful! Also very complete index and appendix of green resources.
