From the Author

I am a family therapist, and my clients come to me when everything they've tried has not worked to get their kids under control. My book is for parents who are having behavior, attitude and emotional problems with their teens and pre-teens. I tell you how kids and parents get so irrational, how parents lose control when they are trying hard to gain it, and what to do about it in six steps.

It is simple, but not easy. It is, though, the foundation that is needed for ANY parenting program to work. I teach you how to let the energy come from the child instead of the parent having to get frustrated, angry and ineffective. Best of all, it is gentler, calmer and much more effective than being in a power struggle with your child. Parents tell me that they feel less stress, but more in control of their kids and can enoy their kids again. Give it a try. Let me know what you think.
