I was disappointed in this book, which I received as a gift based on the title. The author has some VERY strong political leanings that come through and overshadow what could be some worthwhile advice. She is convinced that girls (and women) are oppressed by society, and this book is her way out. There was no helpful advice that isn't available elsewhere, and the overt feminism is not what most people are looking for in a parenting book. Discussions about whether the word 'history' is gender-bias and oppressive are better left for another genre. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback.
