I didn't realize it was a Harlequin Teen book - but I enjoyed it. (Being many decades away from my teens!!) It was a great light read.

Just so you don't do what I did. This book has 83 pages. Not 304. I thought I only had the sample. But if I had looked at the file size I would have known it was the whole book I already owned. B &N customer service was great and fixed MY error. Just wanted others to know.

This was a really decent read. There was solid characterization, and the romance (kept to a friendship, going against all cliches!) was very low-key. It remained very teen-appropriate and realistic for the POV. I could totally buy into the story of a girl that came into contact with something that she's just not sure about.
The only issues I have is that this was too short to tie up all the plot threads that were brought up. The point of the ghoul in all of this? Coming to peace with seeing a spirit? Bringing peace to the undead? All of it left hanging. THere was also a good deal of attention paid to her friend's romance, which made me think that it would be important somehow... and it wasn't at all. To boot, the ending was completely anti-climactic. It would have worked if there were something between the climax and it with wrapping things up, but with all these things left without resolve, it was a major disappointment.
This was a very short story that I was able to read in an hour, but I found it to be quite delightful. It definitely packed a punch, and I only wish it would have been written into a full-length novel with more details and story lines! I will definitely be reading more of this author in the future.

I downloaded this book when it was a free special, and I'm kinda glad I did. It was a great story overall, but it ended quite abruptly. The ending also left quite a few questions. Short for when you want something to read, but not for if you want something you can really get into.
