strong west wind was blowing and whitecapped waves slammed the shores as I traversed the lake looking for the home I was to photograph. Deer were everywhere. The tall cottonwood trees were in full fall color and layers of dark clouds covered the tops of the local mountains. Fortunately the gate was open and I entered a complex that I hoped would be as spectacular as it had been described. The golden grass and huge trees seemed to welcome me as I made my way along a dirt road. In time several buildings came into view.
