About The Author:

Mark Hayes is an Irish guy who now lives in L.A. Chancer. Prancer. Midnight. Dancer. Bestselling author of RanDumb: The Adventures of an Irish Guy in L.A! which has been rated #1 on Amazon Humor.

Praise For RanDumb:

'RanDumb is an intelligently put-together, often satirical analysis of the times we live in... a thoroughly entertaining read that will make you 'LOL' -laugh out loud - as so many have done on Mark Hayes' blog.'

'With his unique style, phrasing and word coinage, Mark Hayes introduced himself to us in his first book RanDumb as a kind of hard drinking, half-slacker, half German technical translator, carefree globetrotter finding his way in Hollywood. Very funny and a great read.'

'I've always wanted to give up the mundane day job, pack my bags and head for the promised land, but circumstances have conspired against me. So, when I heard of this book, it was a must read... I wasn't disappointed in the least. It was just how I would have imagined and more... Mark Hayes has shared his experiences of chasing the American Dream and I love it.'

RanDumb-er, a Prince among all books...

What a mighty sequel to RanDumb. I was already a huge fan of Mr Hayes having read his debut book in a matter of hours. So when the mighty news came of the imminent release of RanDumber, I was there, ready, finger on the pulse, to buy it. And I did. And it was just as I expected it would be. Absol-funking-lutely mighty indeed. So. I read, and I read, at work, in the car, in bed, on the loo, each time making sure my pants were off, as Merk himself recommends. And there were giggles, real belly aching laugh out loud moments, scattered with pauses for moments of reflection on the plights and downs faced by Mark on his continued journey in LA. This book is every bit as good as the first and more. Mark has maintained his ability to get inside your head so that you are there with him on that journey. Living the high life with him, and also feeling his lows. I cannot recommend this book enough. If you've read RanDumb, you'll know why. If you haven't, then what are you waiting for? Go for it, take the plunge. You will not regret it! The only downside for me now is that I have to wait for book number three. I know it's coming, and I will wait, knowing that there is more to come on Mark Hayes's journey to making it big (and bigger) in LA. Well done the Mark Hayes. Giddy up book three, four, five, six and the rest!

In the sequel to “RanDumb” Mark Hayes, our Irishman

In the sequel to “RanDumb” Mark Hayes, our Irishman in LA, deals with the joy and excitement of his impending success as an author. In the meantime life simply goes on. Bursts of creativity alternate with the ever-tempting distractions LA has to offer, which include sometimes scary, always-insatiable females of varying age groups, parties and luxurious outings with his much more affluent friends. (As he is also mates with Robbie Williams - who is always up for a good prank or two - the reader will also learn about new sports and all the resulting mishaps.) While Mark mingles with pop stars, football and acting legends, he is well aware of the reality that is his rent payment date, which is mercilessly approaching.
Whether it be stand up comedy, modelling jobs or DJing at the poshest venues, a lot of booze and strange Angelinos always get in the way, leading to the funniest and scariest situations and yet another vow to stay focused and have order restored.
Mark took me with him through another year in the City of Angels and let me take a glimpse into his wild haired head full of stories, which are of course - without a doubt - entirely figments of his imagination.
    Giddy up them steps!
I laughed, winced, gasped and cheered during this wild ride. I couldn’t (and wouldn’t) put the book down and when it was over all I could do was ask for more. Book No. 3? Please? Bring it on! Looks like it will be both very sunny and erratic with a chance for romance.
