Ranger and the Widow based on 0 ratings. 1 reviews.
Six months ago Jim ¿Mitch¿ Mitchell worked in DC as a secret service agent. Now, feeling free for the first time in many years, Jim serves as the chief Park Ranger of Utah¿s Canyonlands National Park, Needles District. However his fourteen-year-old daughter Brooke hates the park and his ex-wife is remarried and has a new baby. She does not want the teen. One of Mitch¿s prime jobs is to insure ¿moki poachers¿ do not steal the artifacts left from the Anasazi ruins. While exploring the park, Mitch finds the murdered corpse of an archeological student, the son of a personal friend of the president. Because of that influence, the Justice Department sends undercover Field investigator Anne Winslow to discreetly solve the murder. As she pretends to look at his budget, Anne and Mitch fall in love. However, when he learns the truth about her deception, she thinks that will end their relationship? THE RANGER AND THE WIDOW is an enjoyable romantic intrigue that highlights the beauty of Canyonlands National Park. The police procedural romantic story line is exciting and fast-paced, and the characters are enchanting. However, it is Lynn Erickson¿s homage to the park and the ruins that make a wonderful reading experience of THE RANGER AND THE WIDOW. Harriet Klausner
