The scariest Monsters are the ones that Lurk in our Souls... - Edgar Allen Poe
I can feel the silence.
It echoes in my mind driving me further and further away and taking with it my sanity.
They don't speak, their faces are masks of the monsters that haunt my dreams.
The night used to be my refuge, but now I yearn for the light. For the blissful thoughts.
My head is pounding, my thoughts fighting for freedom.
The air is cold and damp, the stone is hard.
I know they are watching.
Waiting for me to break.
To scream out and beg them to end this silent madness.
I refuse.
They will never win.
My mind blackens and fear rushes through me.
Who am I?
My body spasms and I thrash wildly.
"Help!" I scream in agony.
But to who?
All I can see is the darkness, it haunts me, it follows me.
"Let me go!"
But even though my screams echo in my head, the sound never touches my ears.
I am doomed to silence.
I feel like I am watching a scene or a movie, but the screen is black. Everybody else is laughing, but you see nothing.
