Meet the Author

Marsha Ward was born in the sleepy little town of Phoenix, Arizona, and grew up with chickens, citrus trees, and lots of room to roam. She began telling stories at a very early age, regaling neighborhood chums with her tales over homemade sugar cookies and milk. Her love of 19th Century Western history was reinforced by visits to her cousins on their ranch and listening to her father's stories of homesteading in Old Mexico and in the Tucson area.

Over the years, Marsha became an award-winning poet, writer and editor, with over 900 pieces of published work. She is the founder of American Night Writers Association and a member of Western Writers of America, Women Writing the West, and Rim Country Writers. She makes her home in a tiny forest hamlet in Arizona. When she is not writing, she loves to spoil her grandchildren, travel, give talks, meet readers, and sign books.

    Really?

This should have been sent for proofing. Funny how a book titled "for Writers" has so many typos and misspellings. "Salt and papper" ... "tomato sause" ... "obs." for lbs. The recipes aren't all that appealing and there are no yield amounts, despite the admonishment of knowing how to increase or decrease a recipe in the intro.

    Nothing New Here

If you have been cooking for a while, and the author supposes that you have, you will likely not find much here of value. Its free so no harm done. Most of us have similar recipes in our files already.

    So so

I love to cook, but I have all of these recipies already. They're not terrible, but they're nothing great or amazing either. There's a few typos, but nothing making it hard to read. If not for the fact it's free, it'd be a 2 star review.

    more from this reviewer

Some really interesting recipes in this little book...and it was FREE!!

Yup, it is free! Go to shop, then search, type in the numeral 0.00 and look for it, you could also put in the name of the book or the author after the 0.00.

    Don't bother.

The book should be offered for free along with something with actual value. For a beginner in cooking, this MIGHT work. The problem is that a lot of these recipes seem as if the author forgot to finish them, and a number of them are quite unappealing. Don't bother wasting your time, unless you have absolutely nothing better to do.

    Writer?

Seems that this author is not aquainted with Spellcheck nor any simple word processing programs. IMHO

I sugest you don't buy this.

This wansnt as good as I expected. I definatly say it's worth .... well it is free that ia what it's worth. They say quick & easy recipies. I guess cooking peppers in a crock pot for six hours and waiting over- night for just being able to cook your cinnamon buns is quick. As a cook myself if you're going to cook dont buy this cookbook. Most of my cookbooks have no difference in the cooking and preparation times. Not that much of a difference.o
