All Music Guide - Stephen Thomas Erlewine
Clocking in at only nine tracks, Rap's Greatest Hits, Vol. 2 may be a little brief, but the collection isn't a bad sampler of crossover pop-rap hits from the late '80s. There are a couple of weak cuts, but Tone Loc's "Wild Thing," Queen Latifah's "Dance for Me," Young MC's "Bust a Move," DJ Jazzy Jeff & the Fresh Prince's "Parents Just Don't Understand," Whodini's "Freaks Come out at Night" and Doug E. Fresh's "Lovin' Every Minute of It" make the disc worth its budget price.
