Meet the Author

Raine has been reading romance novels since she picked up that first Barbara Cartland paperback at the tender age of thirteen. She thinks it was The Flame is Love from 1975. And it's a safe bet she'll never stop reading romance novels because now she writes them too. Granted, Raine's stories are edgy enough to turn Ms. Cartland in her grave, but to her way of thinking, a tall, dark and handsome hero never goes out of fashion. Never! A former teacher turned full- time writer of sexy romance stories, is how she fills her days. Raine has a prince of a husband, and two brilliant sons to pull her back into the real world if the writing takes her too far away. Her sons know she likes to write stories, but have never asked to read any. (Raine is so very grateful about this.) She loves to hear from readers and chat about the characters in her books. You can connect with Raine on Facebook or visit her at www.RaineMiller.com to see what she's working on now.

    GREAT READ

This was a great 4th installment in the series, it was nice having an ending to their story. You saw so much more of them, what their deep dark secrets are, their worries, their love for each other. It was truely a great ending to a great series!

    Loved this book!

I have been in love with Ethan and Brynne since I first read Naked! I have since read and reread all of the books in this series in preparation for this final installment. Raine did not disappoint. This book tied up all of the loose ends and made me love the Blackstone family even more! I love Raine's style of writing! I heartily recommend Rare and Precious Things to all lovers of romance.

    Great

This book was a surprise, and a very good one I must say. I did not think there would be a fourth book about Brynne and Ethan, so it was a treat to read it. It is as beautifully written as any of Miller's books and it feels like a long epilogue. Except that many things happen along the way that really bring resolution to all issues brought up in the previous books of the Blackstone Affair and there are no more loose ends from the main characters' pasts. It was simply delightful. I am going to miss these characters.

More Ethan? Yes, please! You can never have enough Blackstone!

More Ethan? Yes, please! You can never have enough Blackstone!

Raine Miller has done it again. Another brilliant addition to The Blackstone Affair series. Rare and Precious Things will tug at your heartstrings while delivering a smokin’ hot romance allowing the reader to experience raw emotion and to genuinely feel.

I can still remember the day I read the first book in this instantly addictive series. It was my birthday, October 3, 2012, and a friend suggested I read Naked assuring me the sequel would be out the following month. That was the longest month of my life! I read Naked in one sitting! I was a complete addict from the very first chapter.

Operation Stalk Raine Miller now commenced. I found the author’s website and contacted her ASAP. I had to know -I had to have book two. Where was book two? Ahhhh! I never felt this kind of anxiety. I honestly felt foolish. What was wrong with me? It was like being given only ONE Oreo. What the hell? No one eats just ONE Oreo. It’s absurd.

After contacting Mrs. Miller she kindly responded to my message and assured me All In would in fact be released in November. Sure enough, I had Ethan back in my hands November 9! I was one happy, happy girl.

Long story short, I fell in love with not only Ethan and Brynne, but Raine Miller as well. I read any and everything written by Mrs. Miller, and not once have I been disappointed.

Each book of The Blackstone Affair series introduces a new and enthralling reality while never compromising the characters’ roles and genuine uniqueness. The author’s ability to provide a gripping read with each installment is mind-boggling. There are few series that keep me enthralled and feigning for more.

If you know anything about me you know Mr. B is my secret lover and has been for a long while now. There is something about Ethan Blackstone’s character that drives me wild! He’s crazy jealous, over protective, demanding and acts like a giant caveman at times, but he’s the absolute perfect alpha male. Never belittling his woman while maintaining a strong and sexy male lead. His mouth…dear God, his mouth. That man can say anything and have me at his beck and call in as little as 2.5 seconds. Ethan B. is without a doubt one of the sexiest book characters created. He literally oozes charm. He’s perfection on a stick.

And then there’s Brynne. Brynne is the perfect example of a great female lead. Not only is she beautiful, strong and talented, she is real and remains truly humble. She makes me want to be a better person. Her love for Ethan is beautifully overwhelming. There isn’t one thing she would not do for her man. As much as Ethan loves his American Girl I truly believe Brynne loves him even more.

Now on to Peaches…we finally welcome Baby B into the world and experience a love like no other (I’ll stop there to avoid letting the cat out of the bag).

Of course, it wouldn’t be complete without a moment that literally rips your heart to shreds. Yes, there is a heart-stopping, mouth-gaping turn of events. Leave it to Raine to turn our world upside down! Ahhhh!

Ethan and Brynne’s journey is incredibly moving, and the development was amazing to watch. It screamed passion, and their relationship maintained a scorching amount of heat. Nothing’s perfect, right? Well, this romance is the closest to perfection that I have experienced. It not only takes hold of your mind but your heart as well. I’m not sure I can survive a lifetime without Ethan and Brynne…and, of course, Baby Blackstone.

I just finished listening to the audiobook version of Rare and Precious Things, the fourth book in the Blackstone Affair series. I have read the other books in the series on my Kindle, but decided to splurge and get book four as an audiobook; what a fantastic time I had listening to the continuing love story of Brynne and Ethan!  To hear Ethan's voice with the British accent captured my image of him as a romantic and smoking character.  This book is my favorite of the series and so appreciate the way author Raine Miller crafted life challenges that both Brynne and Ethan faced. Readers love happily ever afters (HEA) and the author delivered a beautiful one.  I plan to get the other three books in the series on audiobook besides reading the upcoming prequels to the Blackstone series.  Thank you, Raine - this series is one of my favorites ever!

Sigh! I feel like my world is complete after finishing Rare and Precious Things. We finally get to the heart of Ethan's past and he works to move forward from his pain. Brynne works to embrace marriage and motherhood but still has to cope with her horrific past. As they both deal with issues from their pasts some doubt is created about their love for each other. Will they learn to communicate? Of course, something drastic happens and Ethan gets put in a situation that allows him to truly see what is important. Raine Miller gives us a great balance of both POV's as we move through these new challenges and watch them find the happiness they both deserve.

    Excellent

This was a wonderful ending to this story. You get to read about their honeymoon about after honeymoon the day to day difficulties they have at being a new couple. As the reader you get to have answered questions about their past and why did things happen. And of course you get to be there for the birth of their baby. But what was the best for me it was that the book didn't end with the baby's birth you actually got to see a little of what their lives was after the baby was born.

Be still my heart Raine Miller! I have been with you though this

Be still my heart Raine Miller! I have been with you though this entire series again, one I just stumbled upon and then ended up reading the entire series!! Then I had to wait…. and guess what! IT WAS SO WORTH THE WAIT!!! I LOVED this book! Ebook RAPTFabulous, Fantastic, A total Ace!

Rare and Precious things was a culmination of Brynne & Ethan’s time together, a beautiful finale to their journey! We begin this book with Brynne & Ethan’s wedding. I love that they are finally getting their happily ever after in this book! Granted it doesn’t come with out hardships that fall upon them. As old ghost make themselves front and center once again, not only does Brynne have to put the past to rest, but Ethan also find a way to put it to rest for good. And they both find their way even though it’s in a way you would least expect. I love that the ever stoic, unflappable Ethan Blackstone is nervous, and I mean totally nervous about the birth of is … see you thought I would tell you. Nope you will have to read to find out that little gem of information! I just LOVED this book, I’m pretty sure this book hang-over will last a while. Its an amazing finish to and amazing couple, and I enjoyed every bit of their journey!!

The Blackstone Affair Series has become one of my favorite series of All-Time. Simply put Raine Miller knows how to get her reader's hooked with her amazing Characters and her style of writing. RAPT did not disappoint. If you have been following this amazing series you would know the excitement and anticipation leading up to the release of this book. Raine knocks it out of the park again. Reading about all the changes Ethan and Brynne have endured, how the love they found in one and other simply transformed their lives in unimaginable ways. As they anxiously await the birth of their beloved Peaches, we see these two prepare for the responsibility of parenthood. I didn't want this story to end. And while this may be the end of the Road for Ethan and Brynne. They will forever have a special place in my heart! Bravo Raine, Bravo

Fabulous and beautiful conclusion to the Blackstone series! Etha

Fabulous and beautiful conclusion to the Blackstone series! Ethan Blackstone and Brynne Bennett captured my attention over a year ago when I devoured both Naked (Book 1) and All In (Book 2) within days of each other. I’m a little sad to see their journey end as I’d love to have a little bit more involving their “Peach”.

Rare and Precious Things picks up right at the end of Book 3, Eyes Wide Open. It’s erotic, sensual, filled with love, and also deals with some very painful moments for both Brynne and Ethan. I loved how Raine wrapped in the history that seemed to reflect back to their story. How they deal with the painful moments really defined how their relationship played out.

There’s no denying it…Ethan is ALL Alpha. Holy smokes, he had me panting along with Brynne from his dirty mouth and hair-pulling. The next thing I knew I was giggling and swooning over his protectiveness and playfulness. This book for me was one in which I felt some significant changes for Ethan. Brynne complements him, holds him up perfectly. She’s witty, sassy, and deeply passionate for her Blackstone. The moments of banter between them had me smiling like I was right in the midst of their lives. That’s one of the many things that keeps me turning pages late into the night when reading the Blackstone series – Raine Miller’s skill at drawing me into the story completely and never feeling on the outside.

Overall, this was just the conclusion I had hoped for and more to the Blackstone series!! I’ve truly loved the journey and seeing the changes for both Ethan and Brynne throughout the series. I’m not quite ready to let them and their families go just yet! Thank you, Raine, for a story that I will cherish for a long time.

Wow! Book#4! What a perfect way to conclude such an amazing and passionate love story! The Blackstone Affair is by far, my most favorite series to read (and have done so, many times over) since I found Naked back in October of 2012.
Raine Miller wrapped it all up so lovingly in Rare and Precious Things, but still left the Blackstones story not completely shelved, and perhaps to be revisited in cameos down the line (oh please Raine!)!?! The way in which Ethan and Brynne have grown and come together in this (final) chapter was so beautiful to see. The arrival of the Baby B just took their relationship to a whole new level. Now if only I could find an Ethan of my very own, I'd be all set! Thank you Raine for this incredible journey you've taken me on. I, for one, am looking forward to so many more adventures from you with your stories that simply jump off the pages and straight into my heart!

    Disappointing

I enjoyed the other books in this series; so I looked forward to this one. I wouldn't even call this a novel. There was no real plot or story to speak of. If you enjoy 200+ pages of sex scenes and constant, over-exaggerated proclamations of love, this book is for you. At some point, the constant talk about how much they each other love felt unreal and unnatural. It felt too forced.

I was looking for a story; and I did not find it here. The resolution to their problems felt like an afterthought. Since their problems were such a big part of their story, more attention and detail should have been given to their resolution.

    This was a big disappointment.
